Jeanne T. Leroy is an interdisciplinary artist, author, and art therapist with academic degrees in Philosophy and Fine Arts, and extensive experience in diverse educational and therapeutic contexts. Of German and Croatian nationality, her origins remain entwined with places shaped by complexity, transition, and layered identities. She has lived in England, Germany, Croatia, and Australia, and currently resides in Spain, where she has found her home.
Her artistic work, rooted in a cosmopolitan and philosophical perspective, fuses drawing, painting, and graphic elements—from digital formats to comic art—into an experimental and transformative practice that engages both the visible and the invisible. She works with mixed media and unconventional materials, creating compositions with strong visual impact. Her vibrant, contrasting color palette conveys the raw energy of matter—organic and artificial alike.
Far from confining herself to a single style, Jeanne moves between abstraction and figuration, guided by innovation, playfulness, and reflection. Inspired by existential thought, her work builds bridges to the subconscious and the rhythms of everyday life. Now, under the Andalusian sun, Jeanne continues to exhibit internationally while also working as a certified art therapist, blending the aesthetic with the therapeutic. She has published several philosophical and aesthetic texts exploring themes such as utopian thought, media theory, and existentialism, and is currently working on Art as Human Playground—a book that reflects a unique approach to creativity as a space for exploration, resilience, and playful transformation.
