What happens when we approach art with curiosity instead of looking for the right answer?

A playground gives us permission to try, to change direction, to follow an idea simply because it interests us. I think art can offer a similar kind of space. It asks us to look more closely, to notice our assumptions, and sometimes to surprise ourselves. We may arrive with a question about an artwork and leave with a question about our own lives.

SEMINARS

My seminars begin with ideas. We might explore how artists change the way we perceive the world, why play matters to creativity, or how an artwork becomes an experience that involves its audience. Philosophy, art, and everyday life meet in these conversations. You are welcome to listen, question, disagree, and bring your own way of seeing.

WORKSHOPS

In my workshops, those ideas move from conversation into action. An artist’s work might become a starting point for drawing, writing, experimenting with materials, or making something together. We can take inspiration from Kusama’s use of repetition, for example, without trying to imitate her art. What interests me is what happens when each person follows an idea in their own direction—and what we discover by sharing the results.

ART THERAPY

Art therapy offers a more personal space within this creative practice. Making something can help us approach feelings and experiences that are difficult to put into words. The process gives us something to look at, reflect on, and talk about together, at a pace that feels right for you. Artistic skill is never the point.

These are different ways of entering the playground: through a question, a conversation, a material, or a mark on a page. You don’t need to know in advance what you will make or where an idea will lead. That openness is part of what makes the experience worth exploring.

ACCESSIBLE ANYWHERE

My practice happens both in person and online. While some workshops require a physical room, art therapy and seminars can take place from anywhere.

Working virtually allows us to create a secure, dedicated space for connection and creative exploration, regardless of location. No specialized or elaborate art supplies are required for these sessions. Everyday materials—simple pens, pencils, paper, or whatever is readily available—are entirely sufficient. What matters most is your presence, curiosity, and willingness to engage the creative process.
