WHY ART?

Art is where I enter into dialogue with the world—and where perception and the self are constantly transformed. My practice exists at the intersection of visual art, philosophical inquiry, and material transformation. Rooted in sustained attunement and research, my work explores how things appear to us and how they shape our experience—particularly where the apparent becomes uncertain, the hidden surfaces, and the organic blurs with the synthetic.

For me, art-making is a fundamental human playground—a generative space where curiosity, science, and creative instinct converge. Working across mixed media and unconventional materials, I move freely between abstraction and figuration. Bold textures, contrasting colours, and tactile surfaces allow me to explore how raw matter holds meaning, sparks associations, and evokes emotion. My background in philosophy and art therapy informs this approach, reinforcing the conviction that creativity is not a decorative luxury, but an essential dimension of the human condition.

Within this process, forms remain deliberately unstable: familiar structures surface, recede, and reconfigure, allowing recognition to give way to wonder. I am drawn to the moment when an image stops confirming what we think we know and begins to open new possibilities.

Ultimately, these compositions invite viewers to pause, awaken their senses, and question their own perception. Prompted by playful, experimental processes, the act of seeing shifts from passive observation into an active, open-ended journey of discovery.
